Empire Crane purchases Tadano telecrawlers

US crane dealer Empire Crane has added two new Tadano Mantis telescopic boom crawlers to its fleet.

The orders were placed following the recent ConExpo trade show in Las Vegas, USA. The company said the new acquisitions will better position Empire Crane to meet consumer requirements in the northeast of the USA.

The two models purchased are the new GTC-800 and the 15010. The owners of Empire Crane, brothers Luke and Paul Lonergan, cited a number of features on the new cranes that caught their attention.

On the new GTC-800 the brothers were impressed by the charts for lifting out of level and the Opti-Width track positioning system. It allows both symmetrical and asymmetrical track positions during reduced track width operation to provide optimum lifting performance at any track width, Tadano said.

On the 15010, it was the four-section main boom that impressed the brothers. It can reach a height of 111’6” (34 metres). A 50 foot (15 m) bi-fold jib can be added. Tadano’s AML-C rated capacity indicator system and an improved performance swing system also impressed. In addition, the 15010 is approved for use in New York City.
